2011 Founders Day and Scholarship Celebration Recap

The Men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, Xi Sigma Chapter celebrated Founders Day with the 1st Annual Founders Day and Scholarship Banquet. The event, which featured our Regional Director, Brother Maurice Black, and our State Director, Brother Eric Williams, had over 200 people in attendance.

Honorees

1. Brother Victor Hill – Sigma Beta Club
2. Brother Superintendent Nate Jones – Education
3. Brother James Garrett – Brotherhood
4. Brother Ricky Thomas – Service

The event raised over $1250 in scholarship dollars that will be given to graduating Sigma Beta Club members, Indiana area collegiates, and a member of the community. The goal is to give out 5 $250 scholarships.

This wonderful night was concluded by songs from our live band Underground Groove and Brother Richard Gilliam as well as music played by Brother C-Will on the ones and twos.

Over 50 Brothers were in attendance.  To all the Brothers that attend and Brothers who wish they could have attended, this event showcased Phi Beta Sigma in a positive light and the Fraternity was well Represented!  We look forward to seeing you next year.
