President's Message

Xi Sigma President

Brother Chuck Scott

Greetings,

It is an honor and a privilege to address you as President Xi Sigma Alumni Chapter Central, Indiana of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated! Our administration’s position: “Empowering Generations, of Men to BELIEVE in Advocacy, Community Service and Engagement.” We are excited about the possibilities of having an even greater impact on our communities and the world, as the Men of Sigma march on!

Welcome to the Indianapolis and Central Indiana website of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. I encourage you to take this opportunity to take a glance into the world of Phi Beta Sigma, our cause, and our initiatives. Our focus around advocacy issues, community service, and engaging our communities, allows us to improve the lives of the people we touch. I am asking every brother to take a moment to determine how you, individually and collectively, can make good on our promise to “Empower Generations of Men to BELIEVE” in our collective power and abilities to make our world a better place.

This administration will continue the to make special efforts to invest in our Brotherhood, look for creative and innovative ways of conducting business to make us more efficient. We will follow the Twelve-inch rule – Time Value – Best Performance of Duty – Perseverance – The Worth of Example – The Virtue of Patience – Talent Expression – Economic Wisdom – The Value of Character – Kindly Attitudes – Pleasure in Work – The Worth of Organization – The Dignity of Simplicity.

It is my belief that investing in our members will encourage them to embrace some of our longstanding traditions and improve upon them. Among these are putting a greater emphasis on our work with our youth the Sigma Beta Clubs and collegiate brothers. We are challenged to love, encourage, and support the young men under our charge. The result of nurturing these young minds will be the creation of Indianapolis/Indiana citizens who yearn to improve their communities.

We will continue to invest in our third community pillars – Education – Bigger & Better Business – Social Action as servant leaders. While we continue to promote our theme “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity,” we will challenge ourselves to use every human resource available within Phi Beta Sigma and outside the organization to make this our reality.

I was elected for a second term in office to help push our chapter and brothers in Central Indiana to greater height and with your help I’m confident we will be better.
